The 11th Annual Block Party is Approaching!

The Neighborhood Health Clinic invites you to our 11th Annual Block Party at the Waldorf Astoria Naples, February 15, 2014. Susan Jones, RN, is the chair for this signature event. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a cocktail reception, an elegant sit-down dinner, open bar, live auction and dancing to the local popular duo Cahlua and Cream.

The ticket price is $300 per person and proceeds from this event will benefit the patients of the Neighborhood Health Clinic.

Nancy Lascheid – Co-Founder

Mrs. Lascheid holds degrees from Allegheny College, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and University of Pittsburgh. Her professional career focused primarily on emergency medicine and nursing education. After moving to Florida from Pittsburgh in 1982, she joined her husband in his private practice.

In 1999, Dr. Lascheid and his wife, Nancy co-founded the Neighborhood Health Clinic. They have received the Point of Light Award for the State of Florida, the National Jefferson Award for Public Service; The Partners in Medicine Award from the Florida Medical Association and in April 2011 they were recognized with the Healthcare Heroes Lifetime Achievement Award by Naples Daily News.

Recently Dr. George Ferguson, NHC Board Chair, was presented with the inaugural William P. Lascheid Founders Award. This award is present to honor those exemplifying the leadership, vision and dedication to the Clinic’s mission for which Dr. Lascheid was known.… Read more...

Mr. Hickey is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at The Northern Trust. With over 30 years of experience as a portfolio manager and research analysts he is responsible for investment management and investment planning for personal trust, investment management and employee benefits accounts.

C. Michael Armstrong – Treasurer

Mr. Armstrong is Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Health System Corporation and Hospital. He is the retired Chairman and Director Emeritus of Comcast Corporation and the former Chairman and CEO of AT&T and Hughes Electronics. Prior to these positions, he spent more than three decades with IBM. Mr. Armstrong earned a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio, completed the advanced management curriculum at Dartmouth Institute, and received an honorary doctor of engineering degree from Worchester Polytechnic Institute and honorary doctor of laws degrees from Pepperdine University, Loyola Marymount University, and Shenandoah University. Penny Lauer

Penny LauerMs. Lauer is a novelist, motivational speaker, and has designed a series of workshops for writing memoirs. After graduating from Ohio University, she pursued careers as a teacher, flight attendant for Pan American and a banker. She served as President of the women’s guilds for the Cleveland Salvation Army and the Cleveland Ballet as well as serving on the executive committee of the Columbus Junior League and board member of the Cleveland Ballet. She presently serves on the Development Committee for the College of Arts and Sciences of her alma mater.
