Questions ranged from vitamin usage to Healthcare Reform to the value of organic foods when the Guild for the Neighborhood Health Clinic held their first “Ask the Doctors” luncheon. Dr. George Ferguson and Dr. Paul Jones answered questions from the audience and talked about why they volunteer at the Neighborhood Health Clinic. The event venue was perfect with guests enjoying a beautiful view at the Naples Yacht Club while dining on poached salmon.
The mission of the Guild is to raise friends and funds to support Neighborhood Health Clinic (NHC) patient services. NHC provides quality healthcare for low income, working but uninsured Collier County adults using a volunteer professional staff and private philanthropy.
According to Susan Jones, Guild event chair, “The Affordable Care Act, while beneficial for many Americans, will still leave millions of people without the life-saving healthcare they need. The Neighborhood Health Clinic will continue to be necessary and a key player in serving the working poor in our community. We are fortunate to have The Guild raising friends and funds to support our patient services. We hope more people will consider joining this outstanding group of women.”
