September is filled with ceremonies to remember those who lost their lives and to pay tribute to the heroes that emerged 11 years ago. It is in that spirit the Neighborhood Health Clinic honors local first responders, the heroes right here in our own backyard.
On Tuesday, September 11 the City of Naples Police Department and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office were greeted at the Neighborhood Health Clinic by board members, volunteers and staff members. They were presented with home-made baked goods and a commemorative brick for each agency that will be installed on the Clinic entrance walkway.
“What better way to pay tribute to the 9/11 heroes of 11 years ago than to recognize and honor those who serve us each day in Collier County and put their lives at risk to protect us! Everyone at the Neighborhood Health Clinic extends heartfelt gratitude for their commitment to create a safe and secure environment and for protecting the lives of our friends and neighbors,” John Cardillo, founding board member.
