2012 Block Party Event Chair

Kelly Richardson, Northern Trust Bank, Investment Associate and Registered Representative

Kelly Richardson has been volunteering with the Neighborhood Health Clinic on their annual Block Party for five years. She has worked on various aspects of the event from pre-event prep to silent auction and check-out.

Volunteer at the Block Party

Volunteers are needed for every aspect of the event: selling Grand Prize Drawing tickets, picking up and delivering proofs, picking up and delivering decorations and gifts before the event. During the event volunteers are need for registration, selling Grand Prize Drawing tickets, helping guests, tracking the Save-A-Life Campaign donations and check out.

Patient Experiences

Each Healthy Lifestyle module is concluded with a graduation ceremony. Participants who attend at least three of the four weeks received a certificate of completion. Those participants who attended all four session receive a certificate presented by the program’s co-coordinators, Kathy Camisa and Jenny Anton.

In addition, the Healthy Lifestyles team presents various “awards” to those patients who make outstanding efforts to take control of their health. Some awards include most weight loss for male & female participants

During the May 28, 2011 graduation ceremony, Diana was recognized for her weight loss over the four weeks period.  She said the most useful information she found in the course was learning about serving sizes and how to read nutrition labels.… Read more...

Neighborhood Health Clinic welcomes new CEO Jim Warnken

Jim Warnken joined the Neigborhood Health Clinic on October 3, 2011, succeeding Nina Gray, who continues to serve the Neighborhood Health Clinic by transitioning into her new role as Chief Development Officer focusing on donor acquisitions and stewardship, organizing and overseeing majorgift campaigns and grant writing.
Warnken has more than 20 years of healthcare management experience including CFO and CEO roles within the NCH Healthcare System.  He served as CEO of DSI Laboratories from 1995 to 2000 and as Executive Vice President and CFO of NCH Healthcare System from 2000 to 2006.

Support the Grand Prize Drawing

The 2012 Block Party Committee is looking for volunteers to support the Grand Prize Drawing campaign. There are 500 tickets available and volunteers are needed to encourage others to participate in a chance to win $10,000.

Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $100 each. The committee anticipates generating $40,000 in proceeds from the drawing. “While $100 may seem like a lot to spend on a drawing ticket, it is a way to make a big difference with a relatively small contribution. The bonus is that you may actually win $10,000 for doing a good deed!” states Cris Ryker, a member of the Block Party Committee.
