Every February the Neighborhood Health Clinic hosts its annual party with a purpose – the Block Party. The event typically raises 25% of the Clinic’s annual budget. Over the years the themes have ranged from “A Space Odyssey” to “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”. The event is organized by a committee of volunteers and sponsored by local organizations.

The Neighborhood Health Clinic and Presenting Patrons, Mr. and Mrs. Vince Foglia, invite you to the Block Party, the Party with a Purpose – to Save Lives. The 9th Annual Block Party will be held at the Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
The event features a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner and entertainment by popular local duo Cahlua and Cream, as well as an innovative “Save-a-Life” campaign. Additionally, the Grand Prize Drawing winner will be announced and one lucky ticket holder will be awarded $10,000 cash. Proceeds from the event benefit the patients of the Neighborhood Health Clinic.

Kelly Richardson, Northern Trust Bank, Investment Associate and Registered Representative
Kelly Richardson has been volunteering with the Neighborhood Health Clinic on their annual Block Party for five years. She has worked on various aspects of the event from pre-event prep to silent auction and check-out.
2012 will be the first year Kelly is chairing the event. “We want to create an intimate evening for our neighbors”.
Volunteer at the Block Party
Volunteers are needed for every aspect of the event: selling Grand Prize Drawing tickets, picking up and delivering proofs, picking up and delivering decorations and gifts before the event. During the event volunteers are need for registration, selling Grand Prize Drawing tickets, helping guests, tracking the Save-A-Life Campaign donations and check out.

Support the Grand Prize Drawing
The 2012 Block Party Committee is looking for volunteers to support the Grand Prize Drawing campaign. There are 500 tickets available and volunteers are needed to encourage others to participate in a chance to win $10,000.
Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $100 each. The committee anticipates generating $40,000 in proceeds from the drawing. “While $100 may seem like a lot to spend on a drawing ticket, it is a way to make a big difference with a relatively small contribution. The bonus is that you may actually win $10,000 for doing a good deed!” states Cris Ryker, a member of the Block Party Committee.

The Neighborhood Health Clinic Announces Shep, Gail and Robert Tober, M.D. as a Gold Sponsor

The Tober family is a familiar fixture at the Neighborhood Health Clinic.
Dr. Tober brought his knowledge of emergency medicine to Naples 32 years ago. He joined the Neighborhood Health Clinic as a volunteer in 1999 and assumed the role of Medical Director in January 2004. His wife, Gail, has been working in pharmacy at the Neighborhood Health Clinic for over 7 years.

2011 Neighborhood Block Party
The 8th annual Block Party benefiting Neighborhood Health Clinic patients was held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Highlighted by a casually chic reception and silent auction, elegant seated dinner and entertainment by Cahlua and Cream, the Block Party’s theme was It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and will evoked the small town charm and attitude of community caring.
During the cocktail hour, guests were offered an opportunity to participate in the Grand Prize Drawing and the winner of the $10,000 prize was announced after dinner. Then, after viewing “Hope & Healing”, a documentary of the Neighborhood Health Clinic told through the eyes of the patients, guests participated in an innovate Save-a-Life Campaign, which generated over $225,000.
